Interrupted IVC with Azygos Continuation
Patient required a CT coronary, when dilated azygous system was seen and venogram was studied,study was done using 320 slice CT. Images show an interrupted IVC, with azygous continuity. This variance is usually of no consequence, unless the cardiologist tried cardiac cath from IVC, where he would be stuck at hepatic IVC, till he realizes there is IVC interruption.
