Role you play
As you evolve in life and workplace, your role in the scheme of things changes. People and circumstances expect you to act that role. Often , I see people stuck in their previous roles while the situation has evolved and they become the limiting factor for their and their teams' success.
We have all heard about people who fail to grow up and team leaders who fail to evolve from earlier positions. Good people may make poor leaders if they don't identify their new role and act accordingly . Remember, great players in cricket also sometimes don't make a good captain.
You cannot play the "soldier" when the war needs you to be the "general".
